About Royal Taekwon-Do

Royal Taekwon-Do is a brand new ITF Taekwon-Do Club that was set up in early October 2023.  The instructor for the club is Eamonn Kavanagh who is a IV Degree black belt and qualified International Instructor as recognised by the International Taekwon-Do Federation.

Mr Kavanagh has over 20 years experience in Taekwon-Do.  

Mr Kavanagh commenced training when he was 7 years old in Lorcan Community Centre in Dublin under Master Gerry Martin.  Mr Kavanagh obtained his I Degree black belt in 1993 under Master Hee Il Cho.  Through a combination of studying in the evening and setting up his own business Mr Kavanagh did not train for 24 years.

Mr Kavanagh returned to training in 2017 with the sole intention of just keeping fit.  However this was not enough as the training bug really took hold.  Over the next number of years II Degree and III Degree belts where obtained and also a number of competitions competed in.  Mr Kavanagh is currently training for his IV Degree belt and is also currently the treasurer of the Irish National Tae Kwon Do Association (INTA).

Royal TKD is a brand new club so it is an exciting time to join.  Everyone in the club will be new members so there is not that fear of walking in to an established Dojang.

EVERY BLACK BELT/ WORLD CHAMPION / GRAND MASTER STARTED AS A WHITE BELT WALKING INTO A CLUB FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Classes are suitable for all ages from 5 years old to adult.
